Dusan A. Cizman was raised in the railway
town of CHAPLEAU, Ontario, he was educated at Chapleau High
School and as a young lad used a brownie camera to
record the beauty of the north.

|
After high schooled he enrolled at SHERIDAN COLLEGE and
graduated top ranking in his class…APPLIED PHOTOGRAPHY….during
college years he worked for his instructors and also the
Provincial Government of Ontario doing P.R. photos, brochure
illustration, aerial work etc., a far ranging spectrum of
photographic challenge.
Living in WATERLOO COUNTY he was challenged to record the
AMISH/MENNONITE
communities and spent many days with them,
working in the fields etc., to avail himself of
opportunities when allowed to record the culture.
As time moved on he went back to school and works as an
engineer, lives on a farm and raises beagles.
Numerous trips through out NORTH AMERICA/EUROPE of nature,
wilderness scenes……
in the past he also was a contributing photographer for the
UPPER CANADA RAILWAY SOCIETY…photographing his love of steam
in the final years.
At the present time he lives in WELLESLEY TWP and was a
Wellesley Councilor for 9 years. He also was CHAIR
of the local LACAC; Chair of the WELLELSEY HISTORICAL
SOCIETY and a board
member for a local service organization. In spite of all
this, his love is the wilderness and the animals that inhabit
it.
